Ryan Roche

Owner

Ryan can honestly say he is living his dream as a new home builder. A Charlotte native, he spent more than 20 years working for various national home builders before starting RyKar Homes in 2017. With RyKar Homes, Ryan brings a more personal touch to building homes and in working with his clients — something he longed to do before going out on his own. For Ryan, building homes is all about family — his and yours. He’s also committed to doing things right the first time, so your home is ready to go right from the start. Ryan and his wife, Karen (the other half of RyKar Homes), have three teenage children — twin sons and a daughter — plus two Labs. When he’s not hard at work, he loves spending time with his family — including bouncing between the kids’ various activities. And he enjoys finding time to take in some hiking, fishing and camping.

Karen Roche

Owner

Karen left her teaching career 16 years ago to raise her children and advocate for son Alex, who has cerebral palsy. Right from the start, she has supported Ryan in fulfilling his dream of starting his own homebuilding business. At RyKar, Karen helps with selections for inventory homes, takes care of various administrative tasks and can occasionally be seen on job sites keeping everyone up to RyKar standards. When she’s not busy caring for her clients, Karen enjoys camping, scrapbooking family memories, traveling and planning special trips where those memories outside the home are made.

Charlie Franklin

Field Supervisor

RyKar’s homes wouldn’t be what they are without Charlie. With his experience and great attention to detail, he truly has a special gift for finishing homes and ensuring the highest quality. Charlie was born and raised in the Belmont area, where he has worked in various jobs in the construction field. After college, he went into law enforcement, serving in different capacities throughout his career. Upon his retirement, Charlie followed his long-held passion for homebuilding by joining the RyKar team. When he’s not busy with his kids’ basketball, soccer and football games during the week, Charlie enjoys woodworking, fishing and camping.

Lynne Comer

Sales & Marketing

Lynne is the newest member of the RyKar team but definitely not new to real estate. She has a proven high-quality customer service track record being a part of The Josh Boyd Team at Allen Tate Realtors- Rock Hill and loves giving back to her community. While originally from the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio, she and her husband Steve have planted their roots here in the Carolinas for the last 19 years. When she's not running her two sons and daughter off to Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, marching band, swim, dance, or the barn, Lynne loves to hang out with friends or get lost in a good book.
